DANIEL A. EZEKIEL BALAN ARCHITECT, LLC
is an award-winning practice in architecture and fine art in the classical tradition. We believe that art and architecture are meant to manifest beauty in the private and public lives of all people at various scales appropriate to each - from the private apartment to the civic square. The firm is rooted in five generations of artists and designers dating back to the prominent New York City architect, J. William Schickel, builder of what is now the exclusive Nomad Hotel and the landmark Saint Ignatius Loyola Church.
Gifted with the knowledge and skill received from our past, we pursue the ideals inherent in well-designed, traditional works—their lasting durability, their elegant proportions and details—fully aware how they can be achieved in a new building today.
Whether focusing on new construction or historic renovations and restorations, our award-winning firm continues the highest traditions of architecture with unique, new spaces meant to delight and instruct for generations to come.
